As pioneers in their own right, as well as the industries in which they serve, being a leader of UGA International Community Improvement Corporation (UGAI CIC, pronounced “kick”) Advisory Board provides leaders with a stellar opportunity to continue to shape the marketplace and the Urban Inspired Industry.
UGAI CIC seeks to shape the overall arts & entertainment industry and the communities that it impacts. UGAI CIC Board Advisors have a wealth of experience and insight which lends to the organization’s success.
The main purpose of UGAI CIC Advisory Board is to provide management advice about the direction the organization should follow; fund raising activities; and developing key community partnerships.
Specific goals include developing a presence in distressed urban communities utilizing arts, business, entertainment, media and music based programs and services such as:
- GB Gives – Community Block Party/Food Fest, Neighbor Makers, & Free Lunch Flavor
- Scholarships to students desiring to pursue careers in the Urban Inspired Entertainment
- Music programs in schools that have limited to no music/arts programs
- Providing resources to challenged individual and single parents
- Wealth Empowerment
- Financial tools
- Dress for Success Clothing Closet
- Educational seminars
- D.I.Y. (Do It Yourself) workshops & resources
- Closing the Digital Divide
- Spiritual Gifts Assessment & Program
